ARE YOU THE PARENT OF A CHILD WHO IS WORRIED ABOUT SCHOOL?

You might already be feeling exhausted, stuck, and unsure what to do next.

  • Maybe your child is anxious every morning - or unable to get into school at all - and it feels like no one understand how serious things have become.
  • Mornings are exhausting and filled with conflict.  You may be questioning whether it’s worth the daily battle, or even wondering if taking them out of school is the only option.

  • You may feel blamed, isolated, and overwhelmed.

You're not alone - and you're not doing anything wrong. You deserve support that actually helps, and a plan that brings back some calm and clarity to your life.

I can help.

School Anxiety Support is Right For You If:

✔  Your child is aged between 7 and 16 and is anxious about school—whether they’re still attending or not.

✔  Their worries might be linked to autism, ADHD, or another additional need—even if they don’t have a diagnosis yet.

✔  Your child isn’t neurodiverse, but school still feels like a struggle.

✔  You want to understand what’s really behind your child’s school anxiety, not just firefight the symptoms.

✔  You want to feel like you and the school are finally on the same page.

✔  You’re stuck, unsure what to work towards, what to try next—or who to turn to for help.

✔ You want to help your child build skills to cope with situations they find challenging, such as manage sensory overwhelm, navigate confusing social situations, or understand and protect their energy - not just focus on getting them into school.

✔  You’d love clear, practical ideas about what you and school staff can do to support your child.

✔  Most of all—you’re hoping for some relief, clarity, and hope that things can get better.

You're in the right place!

This course might not be the right fit if…

✘  You’re mainly looking for help with navigating the SEND system—like applying for an EHCP, going to tribunal, or seeking EOTAS.

✘  Your child is experiencing more complex mental health difficulties that go beyond school-related anxiety—in that case, you may need more specialist support.

If you're unsure whether this course is the right fit for your situation, feel free to reach out—I'm always happy to help point you in the right direction.

By the End of School Anxiety Support, You Will Have:

Helped your child share their views

You’ll have supported your child to express, in detail, what feels hard about school — even if they usually struggle to put it into words.

Identified key reasons behind the anxiety

Using practical checklists, you’ll have explored both what’s going on for your child and what may be happening in the school environment that’s contributing to their worries.

Approached conversations with school more confidently

You’ll have prepared for and navigated difficult conversations in a calm, structured way — helping to build a shared understanding and advocate effectively for the right support.

Set realistic, compassionate goals

You’ll have identified clear, achievable goals that genuinely matter to your child — not targets just linked to getting them into school.

Clarified the support needed to reach those goals

You’ll know what practical support needs to be in place at school and home, rather than relying on vague promises or general reassurance.

Learned how to respond to high anxiety moments

You’ll feel more confident supporting your child through difficult times — whether that’s tense mornings, after-school meltdowns, or moments of overwhelm.

With over 10 years of experience as an educational psychologist, I worked with many of children, schools and families to get to the bottom of why school feels so hard and to figure out the kind of support that actually helps.

  • Most of the children I work with are autistic or have ADHD, often alongside other challenges like difficulties with writing or emotional regulation.

  • I’ve supported schools through training about anxiety, led a multi‑professional team creating Local Authority guidance on Emotionally Based School Avoidance, and developed ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) training to help children manage emotions, build friendships, boost self‑esteem, and cope with big events such as bereavement and loss.

  • School Anxiety Support brings together the approaches I use in practice into a clear, step‑by‑step structure, so you don’t have to work all of this out on your own.

WHY THIS APPROACH WORKS

School anxiety is rarely caused by one simple thing, so it usually doesn’t respond to one simple solution. School Anxiety Support is built as a clear, step‑by‑step process instead of quick fixes.

1. Start with understanding, not blame

The four core modules help you:

  • Understand what’s actually driving your child’s school anxiety, including things like sensory overwhelm, masking or difficulties with emotional regulation.
  • Work more collaboratively with the school.
  • See how to turn ideas into action.

So you’re not just guessing what's wrong and hoping things will improve, but working with the school to address your child's specific needs.

2. Then focus on what fits your child

The eight pathway modules let you go deeper into the issues that match your child. Each pathway includes:

  • Example goals.
  • Practical ideas for support at home and in school.

You choose the pathways that are relevant and ignore the rest. You’re building a plan that fits your child, not forcing your child into a plan.

3. Turn insight into action, one small step at a time

You’ll use:

  • Short videos (most under 15 minutes)
  • Downloadable tools and handouts

The aim isn’t to change everything overnight, but to take steady, realistic steps that you can actually sustain.

4. Work towards a shared plan created together with your child and school

The programme gives you suggested goals and support ideas you can take into conversations with your child and school. Together, you can:

  • Discuss what feels realistic and appropriate right now
  • Agree which goals to prioritise
  • Decide on specific supports to try in school and at home

You’re not turning up with a fixed plan and telling school what to do. You’re coming prepared with informed, practical options so you can build a shared plan together.

5. An approach grounded in real practice

As an educational psychologist, I’ve used this kind of structured, step‑by‑step approach with many families and schools. This programme distils that way of working into an online course you can follow at your own pace, with 12‑month access so you can revisit and adjust as things change.

School Anxiety Support opens for enrolment only a few times a year.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Here's what you'll get inside School Anxiety Support.

  • Transform Your Understanding. Four core modules that help you understand what’s behind your child’s school anxiety and guide you to create a personalised support plan.

  • Targeted Solutions for Your Child. Eight pathway modules that dive into specific issues. Each one includes example goals and practical support ideas, so you can build a plan that fits your child. You don’t need to watch every module, just the ones that apply to you.

  • Short, practical lessons. Bite‑sized videos, most under 15 minutes, so you can make progress even on busy days.

  • Tools you can use straight away. Downloadable worksheets and handouts to help you talk with your child and work with school, so you can start implementing new strategies immediately.

  • 12‑month access. A full year of access to all materials, so you can revisit, deepen your understanding, and adjust your plan as things change.

  • Guidance from an educational psychologist. Training and support designed and delivered by a qualified educational psychologist who understands school anxiety and the challenges families face.

This isn’t just information. It’s a structure, tools, and support to help you move from stuck and overwhelmed to a clear, realistic plan with school.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS

Watch Four Core Modules

Module 1 - Understanding School Based Anxiety

You’ll develop a clear, parent‑friendly understanding of anxiety and what makes school‑based anxiety different from “general” worry. You’ll also see how neurodiversity (autism, ADHD, sensory differences) can make school especially overwhelming, so your child’s reactions feel more understandable and less confusing.

Module 2 - Working With the School

You’ll learn how to work collaboratively with school, even if conversations have felt difficult or unproductive so far. You’ll get a simple planning tool and suggested meeting agenda to prepare for conversations, plus clear guidance on what schools in England should be providing for children with SEND and school‑based anxiety, so you can advocate more confidently.

Module 3 - Assessing the Situation

You’ll be guided to identify the key reasons your child is struggling at school, so you’re not guessing what might help. You’ll use the School Anxiety Clarity Cards to help your child share their experiences, and structured checklists to look at both their needs and the school environment, giving you a more balanced picture of what’s really going on.

Module 4 - Creating a Plan

You'll learn how to create a personalised support plan that focuses on what matters most for your child. We'll look at how to set realistic goals, identify the support your child may need, and review progress over time, so you can move away from constant firefighting and towards a calmer, more structured approach.

Then Choose Your Pathways

Using what you’ve discovered in Module 3 about why school is difficult for your child, you’ll choose the pathways that best match their needs. Each pathway takes a deeper look at a specific area that may be driving school anxiety, such as sensory overload, relationship difficulties, or autistic burnout.

Every pathway includes example goals you can use in a support plan, plus practical, easy‑to‑implement strategies. You don’t need to complete all eight pathways – just the ones that fit your child. Most families find that more than one pathway is relevant.

Worries, Low Mood & Emotional Regulation

You’ll learn how to help your child recognise, name, and express their feelings, and develop skills to manage big emotions at home and in school. You’ll explore co‑regulation strategies for moments of distress, ways to support gradual steps towards facing fears (including returning to school), and practical ideas to ease morning stress and after‑school overwhelm.

Belonging & Relationships

You’ll explore how to support your child to build and maintain friendships (whether they are autistic or not) and feel a stronger sense of belonging at school. You’ll also learn how to use tools like social stories and comic strip conversations to improve social understanding and help them navigate confusing or tricky situations.

A Preference for Certainty

You’ll learn practical ways to support children who rely on routine and predictability, so transitions between home and school feel more manageable. You’ll explore how to help them cope with uncertainty in lessons and social situations, and what to do when things don’t go to plan, to gently build their ability to handle change over time.

The Sensory Environment

You’ll develop a clearer understanding of sensory processing differences and how they can make school genuinely overwhelming. You’ll explore simple adjustments schools can make to create a more manageable environment, what occupational therapists can offer, and how to help your child recognise and communicate their own sensory preferences so they can begin to advocate for themselves.

Health & Physical Symptoms of Stress

You’ll gain a clearer understanding of how ongoing stress can show up in your child’s body, so you can recognise the signs early and respond supportively. You’ll learn about autistic burnout, what can contribute to it, and what helps reduce the risk or support recovery, plus practical strategies to ease the physical impact of long‑term stress for both your child and you.

Support for Learning

You’ll explore how learning differences and gaps (for example in language, reading, spelling, or writing) can contribute to school anxiety and what might be driving your child’s struggles. You’ll look at perfectionism, missed learning, and differences in executive functioning (planning, organisation, focus, working memory, time management), with practical ways to support your child to feel more confident and able to cope.

Thinking Positively About Themselves & School

You’ll learn how to support your child if they have lots of negative thoughts about school or feel it’s pointless. You’ll explore practical ways to gently build their confidence, independence, and willingness to take small risks and try new things, so school feels less daunting.

Issues Outside of School

You’ll consider how big life events, such as bereavement, serious illness in the family, or a sibling who is not attending school, can affect how your child feels about school. You’ll learn ways to acknowledge and respond to these experiences in a supportive, sensitive way, so school expectations are better balanced with what your child is coping with outside the classroom.

Finally, you’ll bring everything together to create a personalised support plan for your child.

The plan will focus on what is causing the most distress, set realistic and compassionate goals, and identify the support needed to help them reach those goals.

AND YOU'LL GET THESE EXTRA BONUSES FOR FREE

Bonus 1 - Live Group Support Sessions

Eight live, 30‑minute group sessions on Zoom (around two per month) to help you work through the course step by step. After a kickstarter session to get you going, each call focuses on a small part of the course so you can make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed. Sessions are offered at different times and on different days, so you can choose what fits your schedule and come to as many or as few as you want. They won’t be recorded, so you have a confidential, supportive space for real‑time guidance.

Bonus 2 - Parent Wellbeing Planner

A simple, gentle planner to help you pause, check in with yourself, and look after your own wellbeing while you support your child. It’s designed to lower your stress, help you feel steadier, and make it easier to co‑regulate and respond calmly when things are hard, so you’re not running on empty.

Bonus 3 - Masterclass: 6 Simple Steps for Fight, Flight or Freeze

Access to a pre-recorded in‑depth masterclass where I walk you through six practical steps to use when your child goes into fight, flight, or freeze. You’ll see how to apply key emotional regulation tools from the course during tense mornings or after‑school meltdowns, so you feel calmer, more confident, and clearer about what to do next.

Got Questions? I've Got Answers.

Will this program enable my child go to school without anxiety?

No single program can guarantee that, and I want to be honest about that upfront.

What School Anxiety Support does do is help you:
• Understand what’s driving your child’s school anxiety.
• Work out what is and isn’t realistic right now.
• Collaborate with school to agree clear goals and tailored supports.

Many parents find that this reduces daily conflict and helps their child feel safer about school, but results will look different for every family.

Is this right for my child’s situation?

This programme is designed for parents of children who:

  • Are anxious about going to school or find it very distressing
  • Have autism, ADHD or other additional needs (diagnosed or not), or are not neurodivergent but still find school a struggle
  • Are aged 7–16 and in primary or secondary school
  • Are attending full time, struggling to attend, or currently out of school

It is not the right fit if:

  • You are in immediate crisis or worried about your child’s immediate safety.
  • Your child is experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
  • You are looking for a 1‑to‑1 assessment, diagnosis, or therapy.

If you’re unsure, joining the waitlist doesn’t commit you to enrolling. It simply means you’ll get full details when doors open, so you can decide then.

My child is autistic / has ADHD / has other additional needs / is awaiting assessment. Will this still be relevant?

Yes. Many children who struggle with school anxiety are autistic, have ADHD, or other special educational needs. Many are only diagnosed after school starts to become really hard.

The programme focuses on underlying factors that often sit beneath school anxiety (such as sensory overload, difficulties with learning, autistic burnout, feeling as if you don't belong or difficulties with emotional regulation), rather than on labels alone.

You’ll be supported to think about your child’s profile, strengths and needs, and to build a plan that reflects their specific situation.

My child isn’t able to go to school at the moment. Will this course still be relevant?

Yes. Even if your child isn’t attending school right now, it can still be incredibly helpful to understand why school felt so hard. Many of the underlying challenges — such as sensory overload, anxiety, low mood or difficulties with emotional regulation — don’t disappear just because school is paused.

This course will help you gently build your child’s skills, confidence and self-understanding — whether that’s recognising their strengths, understanding their sensory profile, or learning how to manage big feelings. These are life skills that matter wherever your child is learning.

How much time will this take? I’m already feeling overwhelmed.

Most parents are already stretched, so this programme is designed to fit into real life.

• Most videos are under 15 minutes.
• You can watch on your own schedule.
• You don’t need to complete everything at once.

A good starting point is around 1–2 hours per week for watching lessons and trying one or two small steps at home or with school.

Does this replace therapy or CAMHS?

No. School Anxiety Support is not a crisis or treatment service and does not replace individual assessment, diagnosis, therapy, or CAMHS.

It’s an educational programme that helps you:

  • Better understand your child’s anxiety and needs.
  • Have more informed, confident conversations with professionals and school.
  • Work out what practical supports can be put in place at home and in school.

You can use it alongside other professional support, or while you’re on a waiting list.

What if I join and then life gets in the way?

You’ll have 12 months’ access to the course materials, so you don’t need to do everything immediately.

You can:

  • Move at your own pace
  • Revisit modules as your child’s situation changes
  • Focus only on the pathway modules that are most relevant to you

The aim is steady, realistic progress, not perfection.

Supporting your child with school anxiety is probably one of the hardest things you've ever done

(But you know that.)

You care deeply — and that takes its toll

If you’re here, it’s because you’re trying. Even when you’re exhausted. Even when you’re doubting yourself.

The time, energy and emotion you pour into supporting your child really matter. Your love, persistence and determination to understand what’s going on are powerful — even on the days when it doesn’t feel like it. And you deserve support too.

You don’t have to figure this out on your own

This course will give you a framework, practical tools and step by step guidance — so you can move forward thoughtfully and confidently.

You already have the commitment. I’ll help you with the clarity.

Imagine feeling clearer & more confident - even on the toughest days.

Not because everything is suddenly fixed — school anxiety isn't straightforward and things rarely change overnight. But because you understand what’s going on and what you’re working towards. Instead of reacting to each crisis, you’d be responding with a plan. Small, realistic steps. A sense of direction.

If this feels like the support you've been looking for, join the waitlist for the next cohort.
