Â
What the cards help you do
Using a simple questionnaire or card‑sort activity, the Clarity Cards give children a structured way to share:
- what they find difficult in school
- how important each issue is to them
- what support is already in place
- what support is missing
- what they would most like to change
This makes it much easier to build a support plan that:
- targets the issues they say matter most.
- sets motivating, realistic goals with your child.
- plugs gaps in support at home or in school.
- makes school feel easier and less stressful.

Who are these card for?
These cards are designed for children and young people aged roughly 7–16 who may be finding school difficult, stressful, or overwhelming.
They can be used by parents, teachers, SENCOs, ELSAs, pastoral staff, attendance leads, and educational psychologists to help children share what feels hard, what is already helping, and what support may be needed next.
Â
Why these cards are different
These cards do more than list worries. They help you see what matters most to your child, so you know where to start and what to focus on first.
The colour-coding makes it easier to spot patterns, priorities, and gaps in support without feeling overwhelmed.
