Support for Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)

Studies suggest that approximately 1-2% of the school population experience school anxiety. Post-Covid, anecdotal evidence suggest that this number has risen even higher. A small number of children can have a large impact on school attendance data and providing alternative education for a child not attending school can be costly.

Early intervention for EBSA is crucial to stop anxiety becoming embedded and non-attendance entrenched.
